Sampada Entrepreneurship & Livelihoods Foundation (SELF) is a Microfinance institution incorporated under the Indian Companies Act 1956, Section 25 (now Section 8- 2013) as a not-for-profit institution. The Company is an objective driven organization and is limited by guarantee. SELF acquired its lending portfolio from Sampada Trust in the year 2013 and expanded its lending operation thereon. SELF is part of the WOTR Group of institutions active in the domain of watershed development, water management, climate change adaptation, agriculture and livelihoods. These are the Watershed Organization Trust (WOTR) which is the parent institution, the Sampada Trust, the Sanjeevani Institute for Empowerment & Development (SIED) and SELF being the fourth pillar of the group.
